Broadcasters

Watching college basketball, I've always been a fan of Vern Lundquist. His calls have made you feel like you're part of the game. He would cover every detail with the perfect tone of his voice. If it was an exciting moment, his voice captured the excitement of being in the arena at that moment. Who could ever forget his call of the Duke/Kentucky game years ago? "Hill inbounds the ball. To Laettner. Shot! GOOOOD!!!!"

I'm still a fan of Vern Lundquist, but I have to tell you, there is nothing more exciting than watching a college basketball game called by Gus Johnson. He's amazing. He keeps you on the edge of your seat for every shot. He gets so excited that you feel like he has money on the game. With his calls, I not only feel like I'm part of the game, I feel like I'm so close I can run onto the court after the last shot. I know he's the Knicks broadcaster also, but he doesn't bring the same excitement to their games as he does college basketball. Maybe he understands that these kids are not playing for the money, they are playing for the love of the game. The same love that he shares of the game.
