Miami struggles to stay in NBA playoffs with NO FANS in attendance

Even though Miami is a big city, it's not a big professional sports town. The Dolphins always do well as long as they are winning, but the other sports teams (Heat, Marlins, & Panthers) never come close to selling out. The Marlins are opening up a brand new stadium next year. It will seat less people then Dolphin Stadium, but that's a good thing for the Marlins. It will look like the place is filled up more. If they can get more then 10,000 to a game, that's a good night.

On Coachella & the 2010 Festival Line-ups

That's a funny set up for a festival. They try to be like Bonnaroo, but all of the fancy celebrity people show up trying to look like they are part of the scene and into the music. The reality is they are there for the photo op and to make sure they are seen there.

Maybe it's me, but the lineups for these festivals this year are not top shelf. It seems like the biggest artist at these festivals is Jay Z?

Howard Stern, Photos & the TMZ sensation

I totally understand that, but that's the price of being a celebrity. If you are going to show up at public events, you have to expect that there will be at least one person with a camera. At least we don't have the paparazzi waiting outside every restaurant in NYC waiting to take pictures of celebrities walking to their cars like they do in L.A.

Howard had the greatest line a few months ago. He was talking about how TMZ has become a major source for news about any celebrity. He was complaining about the fact that the show makes so much money for being so basic. His statement was, "Who knew you could make a lot of money making videos of celebrities walking somewhere?" He's absolutely right. If you ever watch that show, the celebrities they show are always walking to or from their car or in or out of restaurants. Another one is video of celebrities getting off airplanes and walking to their limos. That Harvey Levin guy is a genius. First Peoples Court, now TMZ.

When I delete myself

When you record in HD, it takes up much more space than when you record regular tv. If you don't want the shows to be deleted, you need to go into the show settings. There is a spot where it asks you when to delete. The choices are "when I run out of space" or "when I delete myself". Always set it for "when I delete myself" if it's a show you really want to see and don't want to lose it.

You should also have HBO On Demand. That probably has the Magic/Bird documentary for free in the sports section.

The 30 for 30 shows repeat all of the time, so just do a search for upcoming show times for 30 for 30 and they will list what each show is about. You will probably see the Len Bias story, The USFL story, The U story (Miami), etc....

30 for 30

The 30 for 30 shows are excellent. I've enjoyed every one I have watched. I didn't know anything about Iverson before he went to Georgetown. Looking forward to watching it. I'll have to fit it in between Biggets Loser, American Idol, and Lost.

I watched one last week which was called "The Guru of Go" It was the Hank Gathers story, but it was more about Paul Westhead. What a great story. I guess he was a very under-rated coach? I love that he called his style of play "The System". Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble thrived on it at Loyola Marymount. I never knew they both left USC after their freshmen year to go to LM.
